After a few days of foggy mornings and
partly sunny afternoons, the soggy days
have found us again. Local rivers are
predicted to rise and temps are heading
into mild regions. Here at home, I prepared
for the latest edition of houseshaking
excavation. When I arrived at noon a phone
call informed me the excavators would not
be coming and all my effort to preserve our
treasures was not to be needed. I did use
the occasion to clean and dust paintings,
prints and object-de-art that had not seen
the dust rag in several months if not years!
Now all is back in order and we await the
next visit maybe sometime in the middle of
the week. On another note entirely, while I
was riding home a few days ago, I spied a
blue heron down by the river. Careful to not
startle it, I sneaked close and shot some
telephoto shots. This one is at 12x with my
Canon Photoshot A95.
