The Big Blow

For days, the media spoke of impending
destructive winds that might cause
considerable damage to the trees of
our valley and city. Saturday, after Yoga
at the "Y" norma and the observer went
to the Saturday Market. Adverse weather
had cut back the number of booths
but The Bangkok Grill was still there
and we ordered a couple of Pad Thai.
Norma had a hot chocolate and I my
coffe and coco. We congregate at Lara's
shelter from the elements and do some
people things. Noticing the time, I
mention the salutation from the OCF
and we head to the local fine book shop
a block from the MKT. I found an interesting
book about Robert Crumb. Hurry home
with the treasure and turn on the tube
to enjoy the slow triumph of the Oregon
Ducks over the Cal Bears. A great diner
with Lost on the tube and delicious soup
and bread on the table. Our lives are good.
