we got through the Holieqhw pretth well with the realization of the excess of sugar in diet up to the suChristmas E. by staying home, except for the weekly meetings down at the Fairgrounds of the Breakfast Club. The last meeting was a gift exchange, I brought a selection of vintage SF and managed to pass on 3 or 4. After the hustle of the Days it was good to sit on the Bike and head out Monday morning, an alleged National Holiday towards The Shop. It was chilly, dark and foggy. The detour was closed and it now presented a clean and clear passage to the West. The way to the second tunnel seemed to be full of moving penlights. As approached, voices full of disapproval met me with "hey, that light is too daOmn bright. Meanwhile, I passerod by and swiftly accelerated into the mist, leaving them to sort it out. Approaching the buildings. I noted the lack of vehicles. Everything seemed to be locked down and when I approached The Office and saw the notice on the door window saying we would be closed till the 3rd, without further consideration I turned around soon was bound for the Friendly. The next morning it was Work for sure and rise at 4:15 for shower and early breakfast. Another early, foggy ride with no interruptions. After stowing The Bike, it was time to change to daily garb. As I chatted with Alan, it came out that indeed the Shop had been ''open' and quite a number chose to put in some hours. I told them that the off time was more valuable and afforded me the opportunity to watch some Football Bowl Games. Later that morning, Tony came to me with a photograph of a small radiator cooler that he had been unsuccessful in digging up. I started in Building 4 with debris under the teardown benches but nothing doing. Moving on, I searched through the passages between buildings and into Building 3. There were many spots where a small item might hide so it was a slow slog through benches heaped with the innards of many machines. Alan has taken a break and wants to know what I am doing and I show him the photo. He has a well thought out plan and nr 2 sends me into the parts hall between The Office and Building 2. Many pieces of Aluminum line the walls and their hiding behind several great flywheels is the sought for grail - the small radiator/cooler. Well, Tony was glad to see the sought item and was glad to show it. The rest of the day pretty well routine.
