The eve of Christmas Eve.

It is the Eve of Christmas Eve and we are here by our electronic hearth watching the Green Bay Packers lose to the Minnesota Vikings. The day has been about ideal for late December. Temps the high today somewhare in the low 50’s. No snow or rain till Sunday night when lowering temps may produce Christmas Day hazardous driving conditions. We will be going out in the late morning so here’s hoping that the streets are clear of ice. A few early mornings have seen a glaze on the pavement but nothing that a determined cyclist could not overcome with careful progress. Where the low sun did not reach, ice formed on the Amazon Creek Bikepath. Fellow cyclists warned of a hazardous stretch so when I approached caution was applied. I saw some with narrow tires even leave the path and ride on frozen ground. The cold snap seemed to generally empty the tunnels but one camper remained with his worldly goods clustered around his sleeping body. The tunnel at times gets congested but with only one, I made my way past without ringing my bell.
