It's "Black Friday", the day all the retailers make their
yearly investment back. Well, at the shop, no need
to hang around, so we closed early. The photo shows
me in winter travel mode. The temp when I arrived was
appx 25 but the outside thermometer registered 18!
On a warmer note, norma, kelsey and I spent the early
afternoon hours serving the public at the annual
Whiteaker Thanksgivng Community Diner. Reports of
2000 lbs of turkey, 900 lbs of potatoes, 800 lbs of
vevetables,125 lbs of tofu, 40 gallons of ice cream
and 2500 servings of pie and cookies.

We walked around the lunch room serving bread
and butter to the constantly changing crowd that by
the end, numbered +2500.
Tho the invites for
desserts were numerous, we decided to veg out
and "tucked in" in with Alfred Hitchcock and his "Rear
Window" and "The Birds". Then I had to turn in so I
could rise at 4:30 and prepare for another day.
