Monday morn and norma and I are back from the
rainy coast. We spent a weekend there with our
friends from the OCF Board at a retreat. I was working
in the kitchen along with 2 real chefs and a score of
associates scrubbing, washing, peeling, baking, cooking,
preparing, serving, watching, loving, helping in small
ways, congratulating. The retreat was a success, and
I like to think the food was a major actor in the process.
Much respect to my fine staff of cooks: Charlie and John,
my crew of kitchen associates: Kay, Kenny, Hillary, norma,
Each a volunteer and each a key asset to the whole
project. Thanks and Mahalo to you all.
