Even before the Country Fair rolled in, temps began to soar and on the 4th close to 100. We have had close to 100 for days now on the Bikepath and climbing 22nd on these days got the pulse up to and above 100 as well. Now, it is looking like a Low Pressure zone will break the heat for a few days and then, back to mid 80’s to low 90’s. The Northwest corner of the State may see as much as 1/2 inch from this mid-summer event that is certainly unusual. Not much chance the precip will get down to us even though it is sorely needed. Many fires have broken out both East and West of the City. The big one is down in Southern Oregon close to the Coast at almost 20K acres. Another east of Roseburg is now blowing up to a couple of thousand acres in just a few days. I decided to take my Bike to Pauls for some needed attention. The front fork was wobbly and probably needed bearings. I let the tech check it out and the result was it needed extensive work on the complete motive system. I should be able to pick it up after work on Tuesday. Meandwhile, the Electric Project moves on with a 2 foot trench from our neighbors garage to his meater mounted on our wall. Tomorrow, they will probably install the plastic pipe and maybe the cable that raises his service to 200Amp. We are next with installation of 200 Amp service for us as well.
