Earth Day 2009

We got up early to get to the Library Book Sale and get a low line number. At 7:30 we were at the gate getting our position. A few hours later, the doors opened and in we flowed. 80,000 books awaited us and I B-lined for Science Fiction. I collected a dozen various works, then went up to the Media Area where I took the photo of the crowd. After an hour we moved to The Saturday Market for our Tofu Breakfest before the Mkt Stage. Lorna Miller was entertaining the children and I caught her playing. Then we went to the Earth Day Celebration at The Eugene Water and Electric Board Plaza. The Oregon Country Fair was one of the sponsors and I photographed the banner. We caught the Shuttle Bus back to the Mkt and listened to Jeremy and Friends play a while. Then home with all our stuff: two bags of books, two plants (one red japanese maple and one elderberry) a box of various veg starts and some herbs. A full day and now for the evening's event: Coordinator's Potluck.
