Two Weeks and Counting

I have been out at the Oregon Country Fair
site these weekends helping to put together
the Recycling System. This is a massive effort
requiring the skills and talents of scores of
dedicated individuals who return year after
year to work and play with each other. Our
responsibllities require us to collect and process
tons of compostable materials as well as
stack cardboard and collect bottles and cans.
Right now about 30 people can do the job, but
soon (Fair Week) our numbers swell to better
than 90. We all eat our meals at the Community
Kitchen and delicious meals they are. Current
efforts are focused on new signs and dealing
with the ever-changing river that flows through
the Fair property. I include a few shots taken this
weekend. some show activities at the composting
site, others some playful moments.
